Rose Pressey doesn't write a bad book! And this one is no different! Larue and Callahan are two characters that melt your heart and you want to see come together no matter what! It is another book I couldn't put down by Rose! Can't wait for the sequel! 

Ghouls Night Out (Larue Donavan) The second in another wonderful series by Rose Pressey. Her imagination is incredible! She has such a way with words and her characters are so loveable. She draws you in and leaves you wanting more. Larue has her hands full this time. Who knew May West could cause so much trouble and be such a flirt! You will love the book from the beginning to the end!

No Shoes, No Shirt, No Spells (Mystic Cafe Series)

Another winner from Rose! Elly has no clue what her grandmother has left her up against but she does not back down without a fight! Super  characters and fun, fast pasted, flirty book! Loved it! How to Date a Werewolf (Rylie Cruz Series)  A true delight! No better way to spend the day than reading Rose Pressey's story of Rylie and all the trouble she gets herself into!       How to Date a Vampire (Rylie Cruz)  Rose Pressey does it again! Rylie Cruz is a werewolf and now she is dating a vampire. Although it didn't really start out that way. Poor, gorgeous Jack really had no idea what he was getting himself into when he moved in next door to Rylie and her roommate Jennifer but now he is turned into a half vamp. As Rylie and Jack try to figure out just what the heck is really going on they are plagued by vampires trying to kidnap Jack and a creepy soul collector in the cemetery that doesn't like any disturbances. And to make matters worse a crazy neighbor lady that won't leave Rylie alone! If you like Janet Evonovich, H P Mallory, or JD Robb you will LOVE Rose Pressey! She is fun, entertaining and she keeps you reading! I purchased this book one evening and the next morning I was done. Love me some Rose Pressey! Rock 'n' Roll is Undead (Veronica Mason Series, Book 1)  Veronica isn't quite sure if she is going nuts or if she really is seeing things that she can't possibly begin to understand or explain. As a musician she knows the world is not black and white especially with band members that are not quite alive but when someone starts killing off vampires (her bass player included) Veronica finds herself confronting a new sexy bass player and someone trying to kill her as well! Rose Pressey is the epitome of Perfection when it comes to her writing! She knows how to build a story and characters that are real and that make you stay up way past your bedtime just to find out what happens next! A MUST read for anyone who enjoys being pulled into a story!

New Blood (Vampire in the City)

 What do you do when you wake up in some strangers bed only to find yourself not only dead but a Vampire to boot? You do the only thing you can do, you roll with the flow. The flow of blood that is! Well, you try as Emma does once she comes to some terms with her new situation. Add in a stupid, obnoxious, and cheating soon to be ex-boyfriend, your best friend of twenty years, and a new vampire friend and you have yourself one bloody good story! Donna Ansari knows how to weave a tale that keeps you "enthralled" from the first prick of the fangs to the last jab of the wooden stake straight through the heart! A MUST read if you love a good vampire story and a MUST read if you just love a good story period! Congrats Donna! Can't wait for the sequel!

Wild Blood (Vampire in the City)

Donna Ansari does it again! She takes a story and makes it into a spectacular masterpiece! Emma just wants to be a "normal" vampire with a normal roommate or two and have a normal relationship with someone. Now she finds herself with a Witchy Roommate, a Werewolf Roommate, and a couple of vastly different boyfriends all vying for her time, attention, and loyalty. Poor Emma doesn't know who to believe, trust, or who to tell to go take a hike. She finds herself in the middle of a major dispute between two major factions fighting over territory rights of New York City. How did she become the pawn in this whole battle, you might ask, you must read and find out! An excellent sequel to New Blood and a definite awesome read all on its own! If you need a good book that captures you from page one and won't let go until the end and leaves you wanting more then you have found the right one! Buy it now before someone snatches up the last one! Don't be left to the Wolves!

Welcome to Mary-Nancy's Amazing Book Review and Edits Blog! So glad to have you here!

Just a little about me to get us started. My name is Mary-Nancy Smith and I am from a little bitty town in the middle of central Missouri. I am a stay at home wife, avid reader, blogger, and cook.  I have a Bachelor of Arts in Human Communication from Abilene Christian University.


I have read, edited, reread and reedited several books, college papers, and have even done a little writing myself. I do not, as of yet, have anything published but my Dad and I are working on a book of short scripts for theater teachers to use in the classroom.

I have also posted reviews on Amazon, Goodreads, and Barnes and Nobles for most of the books that I have read in the last year.


I love reading just about every genre and I love to leave reviews for the books I read because I know how important it is to the authors and I know that it helps others when they are trying to decide whether or not to read something.

I also love to help edit new manuscripts. It is fun for me to get involved and become excited about a new story and new characters. I enjoy interacting with authors by giving them feedback and suggestions for their new adventures.
